Be prepared for any recipe by poaching your chicken ahead of time.


  • Place boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a large skillet and add 1 – 2 cups of water or broth.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and cook for 9-14 minutes until chicken reaches 74° C (165° F)
  • Refrigerate or freeze chicken in containers to use in casseroles, sandwiches, or salads.

To make sure your chicken is cooked through, look for an internal temperature reading of 82° C for a whole chicken and 74° C for ground poultry, chicken pieces & cuts.
